Lumela Afrika, established in 1995 is a job creation project focusing on the employment of single mothers and men from the local townships of Sharpville, Sebokeng and Orange Farm. Each brightly painted piece is hand drawn and painted, making each product unique in its own right.
Lumela, however is not just about bright, fun products - it is essentially about empowerment and upliftment. Proceeds from the sale of Lumela products go towards supporting children’s homes for abandoned and abused children as well as aids orphans.
Our mission is to positively change the lives of more of our local men, women and children, through much needed employment as well as increasing our support to more children’s homes.

Our mission is 3 fold.
Our product mission is to create products which are of an exceptionally high standard both aesthetically and functionally.
Our mission as a company is to provide friendly, reliable and efficient service to our clients.
Our social mission is to actively recognise the pivotal role that business can play in improving the quality of life of our local people. It is our mission to positively change the lives of more of our local men, women and children, through much needed employment as well as increasing our support to more needy children.

For every home to have one or more Lumela products. For Lumela to be well recognised both locally and internationally as a brand making a positive contribution to the lives of the people from our local communities.
